Anti-Aging Treatment

Although moisturizers are a fantastic way to hydrate our skin on a daily basis, Botox works prophylactically to avoid wrinkles from forming or temporarily softens delicate existing wrinkles, while fillers naturally plump our skin in areas where wrinkles may already become more visible.

Botulinum toxin, a natural, purified protein found in Botox, helps temporarily relax facial muscles and is primarily used for skin rejuvenation to soften fine lines and wrinkles. Treatments generally last 3-6 months.

With age, our skin looses collagen and elastin, leaving the skin dry and thin. Collagen gives the skin strength and structure, while elastin helps the skin return to its natural position after it is poked or pinched. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is the main molecule responsible for skin moisture. With age, when our skin does not produce as much hyaluronic acid and is therefore more dehydrated, wrinkles are more noticeable. Fillers help our skin look naturally fresh by replenishing our skin with lost hyaluronic acid, keeping the skin hydrated and with volume. Treatment usually lasts 18-24 months.

Dentists are uniquely suited for providing Botox treatment. We are skilled at assessing the balance and overall esthetics of the face. We have had extensive training in the anatomy of the head and neck and every day. Our technical skills have been finely enhanced. Many of us as general practitioners have taken in-depth training. When properly trained, there is arguably no better practitioner to provide Botox.

Please feel free to contact the practice and book a consultation with the dentist.
